One tool was utilized for data collection: Structure interview questionnaire schedule: It consists of three parts, demographic characteristics; knowledge questionnaire sheet; and attitudes regarding mouth hygiene.Result: most (61.0%) of nurses were male, and belonged age group-20-30 years (84.1%). More than half (55.7%) of them had diplomas and (74.8%) of them had experience ranging from 1-5years. Most (41.5%) of nurses had fair knowledge and (63.4%) of the nurses had a positive attitude toward oral care for patients under mechanical ventilation.Consolation: more than half of nurses had fair knowledge and a positive attitude toward oral.
